Judges are essential to fair, safe, and standardized competition. As a certified IKMF judge, you’ll play a vital role in upholding the integrity of kettlebell sport—whether at local qualifiers, international events, or team Canada trials.
Note for Canadian Athletes:
All athletes competing with Team Canada at an IKMF World Championship are required to complete their Judge Test and certification prior to attending a world event.
Even if you're not yet on the team, we strongly encourage all athletes to become certified judges. This helps grow the sport and increases the number of events and qualifying opportunities available across Canada.
Q: Is certification mandatory for Team Canada lifters?
A: Yes. All Team Canada athletes must be certified before attending an IKMF World Championship.
Q: Can non-team members become judges?
A: Short Answer Yes. We encourage all involved in kettlebell fitness and sport to certify themselves as an official judge to help grow the sport and support more events across the country. Caution: It would not be ideal to have a family member or friend certify if they have no knowledge of the sport.
Q: Is there a deadline?
A: Certification must be complete before your first international event. This could take upwards of 4 weeks, please do your best to prepare for this.
